About 8 hours, door to door. Every day is different: here is how a typical one unfolds.
Morning pick-up. Your driver meets you at your hotel, guesthouse or rental, in Colmar, Strasbourg or anywhere else in Alsace.
Scenic drive along the Wine Route. Vineyard hills on one side, the Vosges mountains on the other, and half-timbered villages in between.
First tasting. A family estate opens its cellar for you. You taste the great Alsace grapes, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, often alongside Crémant d’Alsace, and hear how they are made from the people who make them.
Lunch where the locals eat. We book your table in a restaurant chosen for its food, not its tour bus parking. No queues, no tourist traps.
Second and third tastings. Two more estates in the afternoon, selected according to where you are staying, your taste in wine and the driving time.
Villages on the way back. Depending on time, a stroll through a village such as Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim or Ribeauvillé, or a slow drive along the Wine Route.
Drop-off. Back at your accommodation, with no one having to drive.
Travelling on a Sunday? Many Alsace wineries close that day. Tell us your date: we build an itinerary with estates that are open.
